A 20-member delegation of Jatiya Party (JP) led by its Chairman H M Ershad would sit with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Nov 5 for talks over upcoming general election. Office Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League Abdus Sobhan Golap and Information and Research Secretary Advocate Afzal Hossain handed over an invitation letter, signed by the PM, to HM Ershad, local media reports said.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has agreed to hold dialogue with Jatiyo Party president H M Ershad. In response to a letter sent by Jatiyo Party, the premier invited HM Ershad and alliance leaders at Ganabhaban on Nov 5 (Monday).
Bangladesh Awami League office secretary and PM’s special assistant Abdus Sobhan Golam and Information and Research secretary Afzal Hossain delivered PM’s invitation letter to Ershad’s residence on Wednesday (Oct 31).
Ershad said the PM invited a 20-member delegation from our alliance and we will talk about politics in the dialogue.
Earlier in the day, Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad sent a letter to PM Sheikh Hasina to sit with her ahead of the upcoming national polls.
