The results of 'Gha' unit admission test for the first-year honours courses of Dhaka University under the 2018-2019 academic session were postponed on Monday (Oct 15) amid allegations of question paper leak, local media reports said.

Hours after issuing a press release on publishing the results tomorrow (Tuesday), the DU authorities issued another press release saying that publishing of the results was postponed as per the directives of Vice-Chancellor Prof Akhtaruzzaman.

On Saturday, the university authorities formed a committee to investigate the alleged entry tests question leak of 'Gha' unit under the Social Science faculty. The committee was asked to submit the report within 48 hours.

Fourteen images of handwritten question papers of DU's 'Gha' unit entry test were spread on social media on Friday morning, 43 minutes prior to the beginning of the exam.

After scrutinising the images and the original question paper provided at the exam halls, it was found that 72 MCQ questions were matched.

On Sunday (Oct 14), law enforcers arrested six people for their alleged involvement in the reported question paper leak of 'Gha' unit admission test from Doyel Chattar area of the university.

DU chief security officer filed a case with Shahbagh Police Station under the Digital Security Act over the matter.
