'Rabbithole', one of the leading exclusive digital platforms of the country, providing its viewers entertainment at any time and at any place has launched its live streaming app officially in Dhaka, said a press release on Tuesday (Oct 31).
Rabbithole started its journey through a test transmission. Rabbithole is the first YouTube live streaming ever in Bangladesh.
Before launching this app, the name 'Rabbithole' was introduced in 2015 as a YouTube channel which initiated the idea of live streaming of Bangladesh cricket on YouTube.
In 2016, an Asia Cup's match between Bangladesh and India had the highest concurrent viewer of 1.5 lacs plus, the release added.
In last two years Rabbithole You tube Channel broadcasted all the home and away cricket series of Bangladesh cricket team.
Rabbithole is being launched not only a video streamer of BPL live matches, but as an app for mass audience to enjoy games and entertainment from anywhere and anytime.
Rabbithole app can also be enjoyed with dramas, telefilms, cartoons, cinemas and much more. The popular drama of the 'Chobial Reunion' series have already been released in the app.
Rabbithole is also considering kids entertainment needs, so popular cartoon series like Ninja Turtle, Kung Fu Panda can also be enjoyed through this app.
Salahuddin Chowdhury, Managing Director of Content Matters Limited; Iresh Zaker, Director of Content Matters; Aman Ashraf Faiz, Director of Content Matters Limited; A.S.M. Rafiq Ullah, Chief Executive Officer Content Matters Limited, along with other top officials from the organizations were present in this launching event, the release also added.
Aman Ashraf Faiz said, "The upcoming fifth edition of BPL is going to be broadcasted exclusively on the Rabbithole app. Not just live matches, TV shows, highlights, special moments and all other BPL related contents will also be available in the app for all Bangladeshi viewers."
A.S.M. Rafiq Ullah, Chief Executive Officer said, "After two years of R&D and trial transmission, Rabbithole is finally going to be launched for mass people on this special day."
