Shafin Ahmed, one of the key figures in Bangladeshi music scene, officially joined the Jatiya Party. He met Hussain Mohammad Ershad Hussain Mohammad Ershad at his Baridhara residence on Thursday (Jul 19), local media reports said.
The musician sealed the deal by handing Ershad a bouquet. They were photographed together along with actor Sohel Rana.
Shafin Ahmed confirmed the news to local media.
Shafin is a former executive member of the Nationalist Democratic Movement (NDM).
