Alia Bhatt had debuted with Karan Johar's film Student of the Year back in 2012, and since then, there has been no looking back for the actress. She is currently at the peak of her career, with blockbuster films like 'Raazi' and 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania' in the past, and upcoming films like 'Brahmastra' and 'Kalank'.
Alia recently confirmed that she will be teaming up with 'Bareilly Ki Barfi' director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari for her next film. She had said that it is going to be a fun film, and will be her breakaway from all the serious ones that she has been recently doing. She called Ashwiny a fabulous director and said that she was very eager to work with the director.
According to a report, Alia is all set to play the role of an aspiring singer in the Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari directorial. A source revealed, "Though a fun film, it will capture her character’s journey and all that she goes through to achieve her dreams of making it big as a singer.”
The film is a family drama, which has been penned by Ashwiny’s husband, filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari and screenwriter Nikhil Mehrotra.
Apart from reel life, Alia has also lent her voice to many songs in the past in real life, and her voice was loved by the masses. She has sung songs like 'Samjhawan' in 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania', 'Ek Kudi' in 'Udta Punjab' and 'Humsafar' in Badrinath Ki Dulhania.
Alia Bhat will be seen in the upcoming Ayan Mukerji directorial 'Brahmastra' alongside rumored boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor. Brahmastra is said to be an adventure-fantasy trilogy. She will also be seen in 'Kalank', opposite Varun Dhawan.
Currently, she is juggling between the two films. She has completed shooting for her film 'Gully Boy', where she is paired opposite Ranveer Singh. The film is slated to release in 2019.
