A much-hyped meeting between Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi will be held at ‘Bangladesh Bhaban’ in Shantiniketan in Kolkata on May 25. Sheikh Hasina will reach Santiniketan on the day, the birth anniversary of Bangladesh National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, reports said.
Modi will also reach Shantiniketan, a memorial town of Nobel-laureate poet Rabindranath Tagore that very day, according to a news report. The two premiers will inaugurate ‘Bangladesh Bhaban’ at the Visva-Bharati University in Kolkata after attending the convocation of the university. The two premiers will meet at the conference room of the building.
Hasina is going to India mainly to inaugurate Bangladesh Bhaban and take part in the convocation of Kazi Nazrul University, Asansol, on May 26. She will receive DLit degree at the convocation of Kazi Nazrul University. Iconic actress Shormila Tagore will also receive DLit degree at the convocation along with the Bangladesh premier.
Both the prime ministers will review different bilateral issues and some specific topics during the talks.
