The second edition of "Joy Bangla Youth award" organized by Centre for Research and Information (CRI), which acts as the secretariat of Young Bangla at Sheikh Hasina National Youth Centre, Savar on Oct, 20. Nahim Razzaq, MP, the forerunner of Young Bangla, inaugurated the two-day long program with his commencement discourse.
Top 30 awardees from the nominated 50 organizations in the category of Community Development, Cultural Development and Sports development received Joy Bangla Youth Award certificates from the chief guest Nasrul Hamid MP, Trustee of CRI and State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources and from the special guest of the event Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP, State Minister for Information, Communication and Technology.
Syed Farhad Ahmed, Managing Director of aamra Companies shared his spiritual discourse to inspire the youth. aamra companies sponsored WE smart phones to the finalists and winners.
Sajeeb Wazed Joy, Prime Minister's ICT Advisor, graced the closing ceremony as chief guest and handed over crests, laptop and WE phone to winners.
In his speech, Sajeeb Wazed said "The today's youth is much more confident than those from 10 years ago".
He also said, "The youth are the future leaders of the nation. They will have to nurture the spirit of independence in their hearts and spread the spirit among all".
The program was also attended by CRI Trustee Radwan Mujib Siddiq, State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP, State Minister for Post and Telecommunication Tarana Halim, MP, Deputy Minster for Youth and Sports Arif Khan Joy, MP, Nahim Razzaq, MP, Razee Fakhrul, MP, Fazilatunnessa Bappy, MP and Waseqa Ayesha Khan, MP.
