Mr. Noodles Science Fiction Fest kicks off Friday

A two day-long ‘Mr. Noodles Science Fiction Festival 2018’ is going to be held on the premises of Central Public Library at Shahbag in Dhaka. Famous writer Professor Dr. Muhammed Zafar Iqbal will inaugurate the festival as chief guest on Friday at 11 a.m.

Bangladesh Science Fiction Society (BSFS) has organized the event while ‘Mr. Noodles’ has patronized the festival for the third time. The festival will remain open for visitors from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day.

Toshan Paul, Head of Marketing of Mr. Noodles, said, “The festival has been arranged for encouraging students to read science fiction. It is also a good platform for science fiction writers and young scientists. We are happy to get involved with the initiative.

Science fiction award will be given on the day of inauguration program. In the festival, visitors will get opportunity to exchange views with prominent science fiction writers including Muhammed Zafar Iqbal, Mostaq Ahmed and Asif Mahedi. A book fair has been arranged in the festival premises where people can be able to purchase science fiction books at 25% discount.

The special attraction of the festival is robot ‘Ebo’ that looks like human. The other events include film festival on science fiction and alien festival.
