165 students to get PM Gold Medal

Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC) will award Prime Minister Gold Medal 2017 to 165 meritorious students from public and private universities in recognition of their academic achievements. 163 students from public universities and 2 from private universities will be awarded Prime Minister Gold Medal 2017 for securing the highest marks/CGPA in their respective faculties.

The decision was taken at the steering committee meeting on UGC premises chaired by Prof Abdul Mannan, Chairman of UGC, on Tuesday (May 8), said a press release.

The Prime Minister Gold Medal award was introduced in 2005 in order to encourage talented students of the universities in the country.
