A four-day Thai trade show begun on Monday (Apr 23) aiming to build relation, especially in trade, between the people of Bangladesh and Thailand. Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed inaugurated the trade show as the chief guest titled "Thailand Week 2018" by cutting the ribbon in the morning at Sonargaon hotel in Dhaka, local media reports said.
Ministry of Commerce, Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Royal Thai Government and Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka are jointly hosting the event that will continue till Apr 26.
About 45 Thai companies and 27 Bangladeshi companies which are either importers or agents of Thai products are taking part in the trade exhibition.
The fair will remain open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day while cultural functions performed by Thai artists also will be held every day during the fair.
