Three companies of RFL Group received ‘National Productivity and Quality Excellence Award 2016’ for enhancing productivity and improving product quality. Amir Hossain Amu, Industries Minister, handed over the awards through a program held in Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on Wednesday, said a press release.
The Industries Ministry awarded 12 organizations for the year 2016. Among the winners, RFL Plastics Ltd won third place in large industry category While Banga Plastic International Ltd got first prize in medium industry category. Rangpur Foundry Ltd achieved first prize in small industry category.
Jahangir Alam, Senior General Manager of RFL Plastics Ltd, Kazi Abdul Quiyum, Chief Operating officer of Banga Plastic International Ltd and Parvez Ahammad Faruque, Chief Operating officer of Rangpur Foundry Ltd, received the award on behalf of the organizations.
The award was given in 5 categories-large industry, medium industry, small industry, micro industry and state-owned enterprises.
Muhammad Abdullah, Secretary of Industries Ministry, Kamran T Rahman, President of Bangladesh Employers' Federation and S.M. Ashrafuzzaman, Director of National Productivity Organization, among others, were also present on the occasion, the release added.
