Del Potro to face Federer in Indian Wells final

World number eight Juan Martin Del Potro raced past Milos Raonic in straight sets Saturday to book an Indian Wells finals clash with world number one Roger Federer.

Juan Martin del Potro kept his hopes of a first-ever Masters 1000 crown alive by setting up a date with defending champion Roger Federer in Indian Wells. Del Potro recorded his 10th straight win to book his spot in the final of the at the BNP Paribas Open with a regulation 6-2 6-3 victory over Canada's Milos Raonic on Saturday (Mar 17).

The sixth seed did not put a foot wrong in a highly impressive display in the Californian desert to reach his fourth Masters final of his career and first since Shanghai in 2013.

The 29-year-old Del Potro improved his record to 16-3 this season as he is looking to claim his second title of 2018 after winning in Acapulco at the start of the month.

He will look to put an end to world No 1 Federer's unbeaten start to the 2018 season when they meet in Sunday's final.
