Department of Education, Uttara University, organized ‘Orientation program of Spring Semester 2018’ for the Bachelor of Education (Hons), B.Ed and M.Ed freshers for Spring 2018 on Friday (Feb 16) at Grambhatulia, Turag, Uttara, the permanent campus of the university.
Professor Dr. Eaysmin Ara Lekha, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Uttara University graced the program as the chief guest. Professor Mumtaz Begum, Treasurer of UU, and Professor Md. Khairul Islam Khan, Dean, School of Education and Physical Education, UU, were present as special guests of the program.
Professor Taslima Begum, Chairperson, Department of Education, chaired the program. Among others, Professor Dr. Abul Kalam Patuary, Chairman, Department of Islamic Studies, poet Nasir Ahmed, Director, Bangladesh Television, faculty members of Education Department, and students of B.Ed and M.Ed program were present in the program.
Dulali Rani Saha, Assistant professor and Coordinator, Department of Education, introduced Uttara University, School of Education and Physical Education, Education Department, and the activities of the department. The students and trainees of the department presented a cultural program. Professor Dr. Abul Kalam Patuary and poet Nasir Ahmed also gave speech at the program.
Professor Taslima thanked all the guests and participants of the program and discussed about quality issues of the higher education institutions.
